Schneider Electric calls for the acceleration of digital transformation and electrification as
a top priority for world leaders, in overcoming the climate crisis and post-pandemic economic recovery. This message is the main agenda of the 2020 East Asia Innovation Summit which will be held on Wednesday (4/10/2020) virtually for the East Asia Region which includes Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan and Japan.
Chairman and CEO of Schneider Electric, Jean-Pascal Tricoire, stated, the company
encourage industry players to accelerate digital transformation, to be better prepared for the upheavals caused by the climate crisis and the global pandemic that hit the world this year.
"The whole world, in just a few months, our lives have changed, and digitalization has helped us adapt to the new normal," he said in a press release, Tuesday (27/10/2020).
According to Pascal, remote operations can maintain business continuity, strengthen resilience, offer insight to better anticipate and adapt.
"Innovation and digital connectivity have changed the way we work and live together, and positively change the impact of our activities on the environment, driving economic recovery and sustainability for all of us," he said.

The Innovation Summit, Schneider's flagship annual event, is now entering its fifth year. This year's event will be the first to be conducted online and interactive - one global event followed by ten regional events.
On this occasion, participants from all over the world could learn more about the important role of electrification, digitization, innovation, energy management and industrial automation in the transition to a low-carbon world to limit the increase in global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
